Questions and Answers from Death Row
On June 25th 1998, I was arrested for Public Intoxication and less than two weeks later I found myself charged with Capitol Murder. The crime I stand accused of is the Rape/Murder of an elderly woman. I am "totally innocent" of this crime and struggle everyday to try proving my innocence. Instead of "Innocent until proven guilty," Texas has my case being the exact opposite. Here they have me being "Guilty until proven innocent!" The Justice System system for the Capitol Punishment Scheme is broken. It's not about justice anymore. It's all about vengeance. Because of this I will be murdered unless the truth is finally brought out. Here is a quote from a slain civil rights leader Martin Luther King Jr. "OUR LIVES BEGIN TO END THE DAY WE BECOME SILENT ABOUT THE THINGS THAT MATTER.....

Hello there Domingo! Tell me man, what is it like to be on death row in Texas, the execution capital of the world? Were you really so desperate and pathetic that you had to rape and murder a helpless old lady to get your rocks off? Was it worth losing your life over? You know I've always wondered what goes through the minds of people like you as you sit in your cage and wait for the needle. Tell me dude, what is it really like to spend each and every moment of each and every day locked up like an animal? Do you think about all the wonderful joys of life that you'll never again be able to experience? Well, I'm sure you won't answer any of these questions because you're innocent, just like everyone else in prison and on death row throughout this country. Ain't that right buddy? For whatever it's worth, try to enjoy the few years you've got left and try hard not to think about all the things you've lost forever. My heart bleeds for you Domingo........Okay, it really doesn't!
Steven Miller.
Hey Steven! What's up? First of all I'd like to say that I hope when your eyes read these words it will find you and all you love and cherish doing the very best in all of life's existence. As for your first question? It truly sucks here!! I get tired of having to deal with idiots everyday, seven days a week. 2.) no it's not how you imagine it buddy. I had a wife, a 4 1/2 month old daughter, and a good paying job. I was just at the wrong place at the wrong time. 3.) Was it worth losing my life over?... I am forced to deal with this life, and I will deal with it the best way I can...4.) As for what it's like to be caged up everyday and treated like an animal?? What's up are you trying to get reservation on Death Row in Texas?? Stay away buddy because this life isn't for another human being!! When I first got here it was the hardest time in my life because I truly wanted to die. Not because you may think I am guilty, but because this life was never meant for me. The first three years were the hardest until I learned to forget the past and not focus on the future, but to deal with life from day to day. This is all one can do to keep from going insane. It still bothers me but not as much as it used to so I guess you could say that I am now institutionalized. 5.) The truth is "yeah". I can't help but to think about that, but I wouldn't necessarily say I won't ever again get to experience the joys of life (especially now that DNA exists). I have learned that even the smallest things in life should not go unappreciated. Enjoy life while you can buddy because you also will die one day in some way. It's one of the few promises God gave us in this life. Are you prepared to die tomorrow? I bet you're not. I guess I've already answered your sixth question. And yes, I am innocent. But don't tell anyone. Shhhh! You seem like a nice guy Steven, so don't be surprised when I say that I do wish you the best in life and I hope you (nor your kids) will ever find yourself in my situation because this life is truly the hardest to deal with. Especially when nobody wants to listen. Take care buddy.

For Domingo on Death Row: Do you really believe all the stuff you said in your message? If so, I'd like to set you straight on a few things. First of all, YOU ARE GUILTY! You were given a fair trial, found guilty of murder and sentenced to die, so DEAL WITH IT! Secondly, the death penalty is not about vengeance. It is and has always been about JUSTICE! I know it must really piss you off to have the truth thrown in your face like this, but painful as it may be you've gotta stop being a coward and start acting like a man! It would be a case of vengeance, Domingo, if we were to lock you in a room with some huge thug and let him viciously rape and kill you, just like you did your victim. Now that would be revenge! And thirdly, you need to accept the fact that you've been defeated and are going to die, whether you like it or not! Your innocent victim didn't get a second chance at life, and neither will you! So in summary, you'd better learn to face the truth, accept defeat and face the FINAL JUSTICE you've received. In six words Domingo, STOP WHINING AND DEAL WITH IT!!!!!!
Gary, in response to your ignorance...I'm sorry. I mean your questions. Of course my message is TRUE. Since you know nothing about my case how can you set me straight? Sorry but this is impossible! I find it amazing that you say I am guilty and you know nothing about the facts of my case. Let me enlighten you on a bit of reality. 1.) There is no such thing as a fair trial. The Prosecutors in my case were so crooked one of them got fired a couple of years after I got to Death Row for "tampering with evidence and witnesses" to another death penalty case. He did the same in my case but just didn't get caught because my trial lawyers were working with the prosecutors. 2.) The death penalty is about vengeance. The dictionary says, and I quote: the act or motive of punishing another in payment for a wrong or injury he has committed; retribution i.e. with great violence or fury. Excessively...all I need to do is look around me and see kids 18 years old here on death row who've never had a chance in life. The Death Penalty was created for a means to punish people who are non-rehabilitative i.e. career criminals who've been to prison 4 or 5 times before they got the death sentence. Most all of these kids "never" had the chance to become rehabilitated so in my eyes vengeance exists in their case. You say it has always been about JUSTICE. I used to think the same way. I also thought that my trial lawyers would be like IRONSIDE but I learned quick that TV trials are a whole lot different than Reality trials. Justice stands for just those with money. Not for people like me. Just so you'll know. I am not pissed off about your ignorance. This is why I am here to enlighten you. 3.) I haven't been defeated. To be defeated means to be buried 6 feet under ground. I'm still alive and fighting for my life. I admit, I may end up dying here on death row, but then again DNA may get me released. idiot! Here are seven words for you Gray, YOU STOP WHINING AND ACCEPT THE TRUTH!!!!

I just read the letters and responses from the Texas Death Row inmate Mr. Cantu. It is a shame that people must be so hard on him. How can these people sit and judge a human being without knowing the circumstances? Who are we to jude? How do we know he was not innoncent? People in today's socitey can be so harsh and judgement. I am guessing that Mr. Cantu was excuted. God help him and for the judgment of others.
