Lets keep kids from getting their hands on guns and avoid going to prison. The words "Dark Sorrow" comes from a Stevie Nicks song called "Wild Heart". ("In Dark Sorrow they gaze down into the darkest hearts.") I am just a person trying to help kids as well as adults in and out of prison who are in Dark Sorrow because of crime by putting this site together. All of us has some Dark Sorrow, that is a sorrow that exists in our hearts and we try the best we can to keep it in the dark, keep it hidden and never go there. We need kids to understand all the consequence of crime. We need to reach out and help all human beings especially the children who are in danger of being in a gang or just getting killed on their way to school. The children who have family members in prison and the children that are in prison. Victims of violent crimes, whose opinions are most important, should be heard Speak out to kids about how your lives are shattered because of violent crime. Too often the victim is forgotten. Help victims whenever you can. Dark Sorrow is a site that will take you on a roller-coaster ride starting with the victims and ending up with violent offenders who live in the walls of hell forever. Real stories from violent offenders explaining their prison life. Not a pretty picture I assure you. If you have kids who are starting down a bad road, invite them to visit Dark Sorrow on the Internet. People in prison are mothers, fathers, sons and daughters. They are not being re-habilitated in the least so what happens to us when they get out and are worse then when they went in? Prison in no way should be a luxury, and I for one have never seen a luxurious prison. Please don't turn your back on people in prisons. Tell me your story and it may help someone, especially the children. Thank you! |
About the EditorI am webmaster of Dark Sorrow - The Internet site dedicated to showing all sides of violent crime. Dark Sorrow started when a good friend of mine went to prison for a crime he didn't commit (which later the charges were in fact dropped). He was treated like an animal. I visited him in a pit called Holmsburg Prison in Philly and decided that I would do whatever I can to better the justice system. He was kept in there for months because he wouldn't rat anyone out. He was no angel but he didn't deserve that. The system seems like it only works for the rich. People in prisons are not all bad people, a lot of them are but not all. There are no rich people on Death Row. I need your help! I want to hear your stories, victims and prisoners alike. E-mail Dark Sorrow so that people can understand all sides of the criminal justice system. Thank you Ted for helping me see the light.
